YV 1878, and is now rising five years old ; sire Fowler's Wallace, dam Maggie ; is a rich brown, is I<>s hands high, has a clean, flinty bone and nice hair, and is very active. His sire, the pure imported Cly-i desdale horse, Fowler's Wallace, bred by Mr Donald MoKinley, Wouldham Hall, near Gloucester, out of a pure Clydesdale mare, bred by Mr J. N, Fleming, Campbeltou, Scotland ; her sire, the celebratied horse lofty Wallace, gained several first prizes before leaving the Old Country. Maggie was bred by Mr Sutherland, Taieri, Otago, out of a Napoleon mare, by Sir William Wallace (imported). Sir William Wallace bred by William Anderson, Esq., Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, out of Brisk, by Garibaldi. Asa yearling took first prize at Maybole, Kirkmichael, and Glasgow, 1 and second at Ayr.
