Four competitors or no third Prize,threeori>o second, and three or no first ; and m the event of only two competitors starting for any prize j only 2nd prize will be given to the winner. 8. All competitors when nominating for any of the Handicaps, to give performances and Handicaps received during last 12 months, and the number of competitors. Any intending competitor failing to comply with this Rule will be disqualified, and his nomination money forfeited. 3. In case of a dispute, v sum of money equal to the entrance fee of the race on which the dispute arose, to be lodged with the Secretary within ten minutes after the race : the fee to be forfeited should the protest prove frivolous. '4. All disputes to be decided by the Stewards, whose decision shall be final. 5.' In each event, competitors to compete m athletic costume. 6. The Friendly Societies' Cup must ( be won by the same person two years m succession, or- three years at intervals, before becomming his absolute property; 7. In each event of the Friendly Societies' Handicap, the points to be calculated as follows: — Ist shall count 0 points ; 2nd, 3 points ; 3rd, 1 point. 8. The Friendly Societies' Handicap is for members of the local lodges of Foresters, Oddfellows, Hibernians, and Druids, who were bona fide members of such Lodges previous to. lst October, 1885. arid who are finnncial at the. date of running. All competitors to run m their respective Lodge Kegalia. ■ Nominations for' Handicaps Nos. S, 5, 7,12, and IS, close on December 12, at 9 p.m. ; and final Acceptances on SATURDAY, December 20th, at 9 p.m. All others close on the Ground. Handicaps will be published m the local papers on December 19th. The Band will be m attendance throughout the day. A Dancing Platform will be provided. Merry-go- . , Round Swing Boats.
