His sire, the pure imported Clydesdale horse, Fowler's Wallace, bred by Mi- Douald McKinley, Wouldham Hall, j near Gloucester, out of a pure Clydesdale mare, bred by MrJ. N. Fleming, Campbelton, Scotland ; her sire, the celebrated horse Lofty Wallace, gained several first prizes before .leaving the Old Countryi Maggie was bred by Mr Sutherland, Taieri, Otago, out of a Napoleon mare, by Sir William Wallace (imported). Sir William Wallace bred by William Anderson, Esq., Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, out of Brisk, by Garibaldi. As a yearling took first prize at Maybole, Kirkmichael, 'and Glasgow, and second at Ayr. As a tworyear-oid, second at Ayr and Glasgow, and also second at the Highland Society's Show held that year at Edinburgh ; aud when only three days landed m Otago took second prize against horses of all ages at the Taieri, although only 2£ years old. ; For further particulars apply to groom m charge.
