After Germaine, Laurel reads best, with Bayard to complete the trio. For the Flying, Laurel, if reserved, would be my pick, with Parvenu and either Lady Florence or Hagar to fill the other situations. The hurdles ought to be a good struggle between Porotawa, Rambler, and Patent Safety. For the Maiden I think Leader is the best of the bunch. — " Flaneur " m the Wanganui Herald.
