Lyceum.

f Communicated f. At the Lyceum last night, Mr T. R. Walton, gave an aMe lecture on the evolution of Satan, being a reply to Mr. F. 11. Smith, and was listened 'to with marked attention by a large congregation. At the conclusion there was a show of hands called for, but not one believed ia such a being as the Devil or Satan. Master Tom Walton gave a recitation " Why does not God kill the Devil?'* for which he was applauded. At the conclusion, the lecturer said he should l like Mr Smith to have been there,it would at least have shown the courage of his opinions, and he hoped the next Christian opponent that came on that platform would be worthy, of his steel.
