London Wool Market.

(united peess association. ) Wellington, Tuesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Association have received the following telegram dated London, 4th December : — The wool sales closed at an average improvement of id per lb on last sales prices, with the exception of fine cross-breds, for which the market is still firmer, and the lambs' wool irregular. 22,000 bales of new clip, Australian, have been sold. The new clip is, however, below the average ; the competition by both Home and Foreign buyers is active. The sales comprise about 132,000 bales, and 18,000 bales have been held over for future disposal; 800 bales have been taken for America, and 64,000 for the Continent.
