DuNEDiN, Monday. - Ac infant child of Mia RiuUy was drowned to-day by fulling into a bucket of water during its mother's absence. ; Napier, Monday. The Supreme Court opened m the criminal sessions this morning. The calendar is light, and there are no very serious easeß. Paul Victor, a Frenchman, was sentenced to four years penal servitude for housebreaking, and a youth named De Klissou, also French, received two years also for houbebreaking. In the most serious case, a charge of indecent assault on a child, the Grand Jury threw out tlio bill. Later. At tiro Napier Supreme Court W. Andursou, found guilty of arson, was sentenced to three years.
