The Union Company's Mararoa made a trial trip m the harbour to-day m order to test her boilers, &c, preparatory to running to San Francisco. The result was most satisfactory. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, the Premier, Mr Dibbs, made a Minis terial statement. He announced the. intention of the Government not to resign. He promised to bring down the Financial Statement before the Christmas recess.
