Blue Ribbon Meeting at Bunnythorpe.

This gathering held last'night m the schoolroom was entirely successful. The attendance was numerous, and the proceedings full of interest. Mr J. Dixon presided. The programme began with an opening hyin, followed by the offering up a prayer. The following programme was then very creditaly gone through : — Recitation, Walter Dixon, " One way to Heaven " ; song, Mrs Thomas, " Little Mary's goae to Sleep ."; address, Mrs Bennett ; recitation, Miss Boddy, "Billy's Eose"; song, Mrs Thomas ; recitation, Mr H. Jeffries, ♦♦The Drink, The Drink." Then followed a few appropriate remarks by .the chairman. Recitation, Mr" H. Jeffries,. " Where do you Live " ; Recitation, "Walter Dixon, « The Battle of Blenheim"; closing hymn, tl Work, for the Night is Comin?." Mr G. Bennett, of Wellington, delivered a very interesting address, and m the course of her remarks entreated the residents of the district to. resist any attempt to erect an hotel at Bunnythorpe. Pronouncing the Benedictions brought to a close a most successful and enjoyable meeting. Five heads of families donned the blue, making a total of 39 for the meeting.
