(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Tuesday. The Minister of Defence has received a telegram from Admiral Tyron stating ' thrt he cannot reach New Zealand before a fortnight. Timaru, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Habor Board today it was resolved— That a £100,000 Joan be floated m London through the Bank of New Zealand. Minimum, £92; interest at 4 per cent, for 80 years. Dunedin, Tuesday. Five applications were made at the licensing' meeting for extension of hours, but all were refused. The amount put through the totalisators during the two days of the Spring meeting: was £13,300.
