WHEAT AND WOOL MARKETS,
(BY ELECTRIC TELEttRAPH — COPYRIGTHT (special to united press association.) London, Nov. 28. The wheat market is still dull, and there is but little alteration m the quotations. Forward shipments are a shade lower than whin last quoted. Two offcoast cargoes have been sold at 35s 9d and 85a (3d respectively. For the wo.»l s:iles 97,000 hales were catalogued, of winch 7000 bales were withdrawn. Only small quantities were offered, and the bidding was strong-. Scoured sorts are, however, a little weaker. The year's exports from tha River Plate is equal to a million bales.
(REUTBH'ft TELEGRAMS). London, Nov. 26. The weekly returns of the Bank of England give the total reserve of notes and bullion as amounting to £12,900,000. j At to-day's wool sales 7200 bales were ' offered, the market being firm. Up to ] the present 67,200 bales have been sub- j mitted for competition, of which 6000 have been withdrawn from sale. Nov. 27. Consols are quoted at 100. New Zealand securities are un changed. The market rate of discount is 2-|- per cent., bank rate 3 per cent. Tallow is unaltered. Colonial broadstuflts are unchanged. The total quantity ot wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,580,000 quarters, being an increase of 80,000 quarters since last report. New Zealand frozen mutton has again fallen. The prices now being realiaed are 4<l and 4;Vd per Ib. Wool — 9000 bales were catalogued at to-day's sale, and the tone of market was, generally speaking, firm. i Nov. 28. | At to day's wool sales 6200 bales were catalogued, prices being still firm.
