Vt 1878. and is now rising five years old ; sire Fowler's Wallace, dam Maggie; is ii rich brown, is KSJ hands high, has a clean, flinty bone and nice hair, and is very active. His sire, the pure imported Clydesdale horse, Fowler's Wallace, bred by Mr Donald MoKinley, Wouldham H:xll, near (Mbucestef, out of a pure Clydesdale marc, bred by Mr J. N. Fleming, Ctunpbelton, Scotland ; her sire, the celebrated horse Lofty Wallace, gained several first prizes before leaving the Old Country. Diomedes was awarded first prize at the Wanganui A. and P. Association's Show as a sire best calculated to improve the broed of saddle horses.
