Australian Wool Sales.

Meluoubnb, Thursday. Messrs Goldsborough & Co. (Limited) ;held their usual weekly sale yesterday afternoon, when there a large attendance, bidding beinc: spirited throughout. All classes of light conditioned wools' met with a good demand, being principally acquired by representatives of American"' firms. Good greasy wools sold up to 9£d, while superior realised Is. (For an extra fair parcel consisting of 52 bales, from Tnlselull Station, near Colerairie, Victoria, Is l£d was obtained. An animated competition was also manifested m scoured wools, medium staples fetching up to Is 2d, while good sorts realised as much as 6£d. Altogether over 6800 bales have been disposed of during the. week by Messrs Goldsborough. ; The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) held their usual weekly wool sale this afternoon, wlien a fairly representative catalogue of some 4600 bales was snbtnitted. There was the usual large attendance of buyers, and the couipetition was animated, the market being very firm at late wicks. Good merinos and crossbreds* were rather firmer, and coarse crossbreds were m better demand. Other descriptions are unchanged m value. Greasy merinos .sold up to Is. Greasy crossbveds brought as much as lid. Scoured wools sold up to Is I^l, and washed fleeces Is 4|d.
