Volunteer Intelligence.
' A letter has been received by Colonel Stapp^f rom Colonel Bntts, stating that its is the wish of the Volunteers m the Wellington district to attend the Easter Encampment at Wanganui if suitable arrangements can ~be made. Sometime ago the Napier Volunteers were invited to attend this gathering, and m reply they state, that if possible they will do so. It seenis rather difficult of attainment at present, as the line is not completed, but a fe ( \v years henoe, when all the centres ar : e oorinected by rail, it will be an .easier matter to secure m Wanganui 6r Wellington tb.B attendance of a. large" number of Velunteers. : We- ar« pleased to think that the Wellington Volunteers are to visit Wansraritri m pre-, ference to going South, and have no doubt but that the good feeling which has existed between the Volunteers i,r» the two places will be greatly etrertg£b> ened by their acceptance of the invitation.
