We liave shewu those whose names will ■ shortly be sent to our solicitor, with instructions to. sue forthwith, the .most ample consideration. We have let their I accounts stand over month after month, quarter after quarter, and yw after year, and.tried-everv means of obtaining a settlement short of the final alternative which we aro at length forced to have recourse to with extreme reluctance on our part. In thd majority of cases wr feel satisfied that it is not a question of " can't pay," hut rather one of" won't pay unless I «m compelled to." The individual amounts are small, which it all the more reason why they should bt paid, but m the aggreijate they represent a very considerable sum. We may be allowed to point out that the expense* »£ a daily newspaper aro v*ry heavy, and it is most unreasonable, on "ho part of thoa> owing accounts to Is 'them stand over and habitually disregard all requests for settlement. < :••■;
