The New Guinea Massacre.

The manager of the Queensland-.* National Bauk of this city received a« telegram to-day from Cooktown confirming/the previous information respecting the massacre of the New*. South Wales Geographical Societies' exploring expelditioo at Fly River, New Guinea. : Tho telegram further states , that a 'second party is being organised by Mr Douglas to ascertain beyond doubt the fate of the expedition. ■ -. Sydney, Monday. Further particulars respecting thb reported massacre of the Geographical Societyt' Expedition, show that there is every reason to tear the account is' true. It is allege*! th<tt the natives stole a boat belonging to the expedition, arid four days after mustered their fighting men, and then returned m the dead of the night,- surprised -and killed the whole party. It is probable that some action will be taken by the autlhot'ities to punish the murderers. <
