The Amateurs scored another grand success last; evening. %Phe -ihird entertainment offthe 'Society Concluding its first presentation passed (6ffmoßt success fully all the members 'acquitting themselves creditably and w|th\ ify-m^lhiiQg more than their usual sucicesV. Tne'two lady amateurs did their parts splendidly, , indeed we.have never seen amateur ladies eucce^d' sd.well e'ap'ecially on their first 1^ jlublic. The programme was rendered with very slight alteration ooenipg^ vitkan^ oyertur,e ; by'the lOHsh'eßj tra ana b'eihg -im'mediateiy f oflowed liy the farce^'«-Sent^ to* v the ' T^wer " the characters m which were very successfully represented by Messrs Jolly, Abraham^ and Mitchell. After a shbrt internal' a number of musical items were renderAd .nciudipg a piano ; solo played^ by Miss I IJoylan^^rith her usual succ^ss.two glees, ; and^ 1 s'dngr by. Messrs Kendall, Belt, ■ Jbhnstbri, ;and Abraham J; Sjucceeding the i niusical ihtertude came the most- timus'j inoftiipart of the', entertainment. •'The j popular > comedy entitled " Ghiselling ■& \ was. played with , 'good; ' effect and kept the. audience m .a con tin-, j ual state of merriment from beginning to' J firiifeH^ Mr W. J. Baybittle 1 ' as! Trotter,' ' the tnan 'servant Was exceedingly gdod, i and Mr Gr. E. Hawkins as Larkspur, 1 a : sculptor: made bis debut without over- ; doing his part and : will be an aquisition ito the Society with more practice. , Mr .E.
