Sentence was passed to-tiay on the prisoners found. guilty of the abduction or conspiracy m connection with the Armstrong case. Mr Stead, editor of the Fall Mall Gazette, was found guilty of abduction, and sentenced to three years' imprisonment, while Jacques, ot the same journal, was found guilty of conspiracy, and received one year. .Rebecca Jarrett, and Madame Mourey were each sentenced to six months' imprisonment, m the, latter case with hard labour; : ;
