Captain Baldwin on the River Plate.
A YACHTING VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND.
(BY TKLEGUAI'H.J {Post Correspondent.). r. Auckland, Wednesday. Captain Baldwin, of Dunedin (writes the Home correspondent of the Stur), who sailed tor the colony per Orient steamer Liguria on the 16th ult., denires to inform the gentlemen who addressed letters to him m New Zealand, making enqiries ahout the River Plate, that they only reached him a few days before his leaving England, and consequently he had not time to answer them. Od his arrival m New Zealand he will have much pleasure m affording all information. The Earl of Dudley, who is about to visit Australia and New Zealand m his newly fitted steam yacht left Southampton the other day for Rio, thence proceeding to New Zealand via the Straits of Magellan.
