' The inquiry into the collision between the steamers Tui and Jane Douglas was .continued to-day, and counsel for the captain ot* the Tui stated that he should require tell- Thursday week to ennbh huh to bring evidence ' from Pahnoi'stop North m his client's favour, unless thfe bench was satisfied from the evidence taken that his client was not to blamel The magistrate rfiplied that the bench, after hearing- the evidence which had been adduced, thought the blame rested on the shoulders of Captain Pope, and thb case was adjourned until Thursdajj week. .
