Ashurst Meeting.
A meeting of prospectors was held at jAshursti last evening for the puroose of considering the advisability of securing, if possible, an amalgamation of the various companies which' *fiave* taken up Pohangina ; leases, r with ( the object m view of securing' a satisfactory and thordugh test by having- a tunnel made m the reef and eettinga -quantity of stone crashed. Mr Page acted ! as chairman, and a resolution was > passed to the effect that the' companies be asked to amalgamate as above. , '
