Eyles, .for assaulting and threatening the door.keeper of the Barracks, was fined 20s and 28s costs on each; information. Richard Webb, for disturbing the Army ■Band, and causing a disorderly-crowd to collect by marching round beatinjg a zinc packing case, was fined 5s and 27s cost. William Rowland, for disturbing the congregation within the barracks by pretending to vomit while the captain was speaking, and by tiying to force^his way out at a period of the service when Jbhej doors were closed^ was fined 20ff / and $s costs. Eyjes* and Rowlaitti^did noJ appear, having cleared out io SJVelling(tbn| but his Worship declined to issue a warrant to bring the latter ;bacl^, as the offence was not sufficiently serious. He also said that although the Salvation Band was a great annoyance] yet so long as it was legal to play round the public streets, they must be^ protected from disturbance ; -otherwise' the streets . would be turned into a -perfect panda-* moniuni. .. jt
