The Act relating to this subject makes provision for compelling Justice^ who wish to remain nn the roll to talce their full share of Court yrorlc; It provides that m November the Justices of the Peace resid/mg s within a radius of three miles from the Courthouse where a Resident Magistrate's Court is held, if ' withinifa borough, or within^ radius of five miles if the C6ur| is held iwithiniia ftojvn district; shall, meet and form a list of the several Jus|ices fesideAt , within the res*p?c|ive 'T'adii, and shall settle and deternfine a rota for the attendance of the Justices within such, radii respectively for their attendance m rotation at ;the Court or elsewhere where their attendance will be required during the twelve months commencing on the first of January then next ensuing. Ifvat any time any Justice «hali f absent himself from attendance when required according to the rota,, , he, shall be specially . summoned on the next occasion when the attendance of Justices is required ; and if, nn such last-men- : tioned occasion, he shall again fail •to attend,^ the Clerk of the CoHrt shall notify the same to the Minister tof Justice* '' and he' shall i ipso "facto cease to be a Justice of the Peace, unless within a month from the date of (the lastimentiohed occasion he shall satisfy the Governor that his second absence resulted from some reasonable cause. Every Justice whose^jpffice^ becomes vacated as 'aforesaid be disqualified [frpm "being "re-appointed for the space of one jyear from the ;date on notification shall be gazetted " tHat he has ceased -tOybf a' Justice" of the Peace by virtue of this Act.
