George Thomas and Co. report produce prices as follows :— The market during the past week has shown special activity m various leading staple products. Flour of approved quality has a somewhat better demand, and rules from £8 5s to £S 10s; second brands, however, do not command much attention. Oats are firmer, several parcels having been cleared at 2s 4a to 2s sd, ship's slings, and southern advices report the varions market, showing a further upward tendency. Good whole fowls' wheat is al- , most unobtainable, and supplies are' slow m coming forward. We quote from 3s. to Hs 3d for best arid 2s lOd for a lower grade, A brisk trade is being earriel on m potatoes — old samples — which rule from £3 15s to.; £ 4. The new crop, 1 which is now coming slowly to hand, moves oft' readily at 2d per Yb. The, market is plentifully supplied with hams and faicon at usual rates. Prime cheese is scarce at fid per lb. Fresh butter is very plentiful this week; prime parcels move off freely at lOd : salt do (newly potted), lOd. Eggs are steady at lOd to 10£ d.' Fowls, 4s 6d, scarce ; turkeys, 10s t<s lls ; and duclcs, 5s per pair. ,
