The heavy rains dwring the previous twenty-four hours had completely inundated the land round about, ipolating Phillips completely. The two aboriginals swam the creek, which was running eight knots an hour, at great peril ot their lives, and by the aid of ropos rescued Phillips, who was m a very perilous position.
