He had allowed no extraneous matter to influeice him m any way. If there had been any outside feeling the evidence had not shown it, but had been confined striotly to the matter immediately under the consideration of the Court. The eyidence then, so far as it told against the 'defendant?, was a gathering together of ..small matters which, separatelvj would have little weight, but which m the aggregate amounted to such evidence against defendant as, rendered it necessary ; for him to submit the ease to a jury.
