His sire, the pure imported Clydesdale horse, Fowler's Wallace, bred by Mr Donald McKinley, Wouldham Hall, near Gloucester, onfc of a pare Clydesdale marc, bred by Mr J. N. Fleming, Cainpbelton, Scotland ; her sire, the celebrated horse Lofty Wallace, gained, several first" prizes before leaving the Old Country. Maggie was bred by Mr Sutherland, Taieri, Otago, out of a Napoleon mare, by -Sir William Wallace (imported). Sir William Wallace bred by William Anderson, Esq., Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, out of Brisk, by Garibaldi. As a yearling took first prize at Maybole, Kirkmichael, and Glasgow, aud second at Ayr. Diomedes was awarded first prize at tho Wangnnui A. aud P.
