Tne greater part of the afternoon and evening was taken up m discussing Captain Russel'a motion, after which Mr O'Callaghan's amendment was put and lost on the voices. Captain Russell's motion was then put and carried, on a division, by 44 to 29. In Committee the. following' votes on the Estimates inter alia were agreed to : — Hamilton-Graha:us-town, .£29,000; Napier- Woodville and Pahnerston, ... £40,100 ; Wellington--Woodville, £40,500; Wellington Pox. ton, £l; 000,' Main Trunk Line, £130,000; East ami.
