Fatal Boat Accident.

FIVE CHILDREN DROWNED

UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Port Chalmers, Sunday. A boat containing eleven persons was capsized this forenoon m the lower harbour, below Acheron Head, when James, Alexander, John, and Mary Fergusfln, children of Captain James Ferguson, the local agent of the Union Company, and Christina Jackson,' his neice, were drowned. Three of the bodies have not yet been recovered. Captain Ferguson is greatly. exhausted, and fears are entertained for hire. The rest of the persons ajre doing well. There was a strong sputh-west gale blowing at the time of the accident.
