THE VACANT SEATS IN THE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
(TO THK EDITOR OF THE STANDARD.) Sir — I quite agree with your article last evening, that the division ot the Borouch into wards was the beginning of all the squabbling. Further, that the time has now arrived when we should try and gat the best men m the Council. There has been enough bickering, let us have a change for the better, when all will benefit. As you very trnly observe, where there is party feeling: .there can be no union and progress. — I am, &c, Resident.
