Waste Land Board.
The ordinary weekly meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday at, the offices, Wellington. There were present— Messrs H. Bunny (m the chair), G. Beetham, H.H.R., W. W, McCardle, and T. Mason. ? Schedule No. 158 of lands sold since: the last meeting of the Board was read and approved :— Messrs Manns and Burrows, section 16, and W. Wakeman, sec tion 17, Block VIII, Mangahao. Mr Crombie reported on the valae of improvements ejected by Mr H. Nitaon section 5, Kawhata, It was decided to inform My Nitz that his application could, not be entertained". The Chief Surveyor reported that a survey of section 21, Paraitieke Block, applied for by Mr Poison, had been made, the area being 47r lr 24p, at an estimated value of not less than £1 per acre, the cost of survey being £5 16s 4d. It was agreed to include this land m the next sale, the price to be £1 per acre, and improvements to be added to the total price. A proposal from the Kiwitea Road" Board for the expenditure of the deferred payment thirds was considered and agreed, to. A report was received from Mr Gre» ville on the quality, &c«, of the Crown land near the Hawkes Bay boundary line and adjoining the Woodville Timumea Special Settlement Block, The matter was allowed to stand over till the road routes are supplied. Mr McCardle brought before the Board the question of the sale of pieces of Crown land fronting sections 1 to 6, Eketahuna. It was decided to bring the matter up at the next meeting of the Board. Mr McCardle also moved that Mr Marchant he requested to report on the question of the portion of the Pahiatua Township reserve lying between the stream and the surveyed section/ This was agreod to. Mr McCardle gave notice of a motion re the sale of Crown lands between Eke« tahuna and Hastwell's clearing. The meeting then adjourned..
