Owing to tlie agitation by Marshal Booth, an<l the outcome of his visit to the Auckland brothels, at a meeting of the Ministers' Association it was resolved to commence the formation of a- Social Purity Association. Mr Aldis, wife of Professor AMis, wrote a letter to the association urging the police to take proceedings against fashionable places ofevil resort. Wellington, Wednesday. John Mundv, a cowboy, 18 years of age, m the employ of William lorns, three miles from Masterton, was fonnd by Mrs lorns at 7 o'clock this morning hanging by a leg rope to the top of a cow bail qtiite dead. The deceased was a son of the postmaster at Akaroa. He was last seen alivo at 7 o'clock last night. No cause is assigned for his committing su'eide.
