The Latest Entertainment.
" A Polymorphous Fete " is the latest entertainment which, it is said, has just been given m Paris by a well known actress. The ball-room was, we read, transformed into a funereal clumber, to harmonise with the charter of the entertainment ; and the guests amused themselves by playing at ghosts. The gentlemen arrived m spectre attire, and the ladieg were deliciously dressed as phantoms ; coHin* were liberally placed about the room, and round and amongst them a same of hMe and— spolc wa> entered into with much zeal. Afterwards thore was a dance of a spectral description ; and to it snc-J ceeded a concert m which the "hosts, ]>erformfid. However, notwithstanding the phantom-like appearance of the guests, they gave evidence of being flesh and blood by an excellent appotite. The night's festivities were brought to an end by a choice s ipper, served on the coffins, piled up on another to form a table.
