THE SOUDAN.

Lord Wolseley's despatches on the Soudan campaign specially mentions Major - General Bichardson, Major Spalding, Captains TEL D. Mackenzie, and 0. G. Norris. Lord Wolseley states that the Contingent was a credit to the Colony and the parent race, and trusts that the noble and patriotic example displayed by them will "be initiated. Sir Gerald Graham- also alludes to the noticeable good fellowship which existed between the Colonial and troop 3. He also particularly mentions Lieutenants H. G. B. Sparrow, Reddie, Nathan, McKenzie, Major A. Paul, Captain Norris, Lieutenants Bartlett, Quite, Burnside, Leggins, Shipway and Burns. Sir Gerald Graham has been decorated with the Grand Cross of St. Michael and St. George. (reuter's telegrams.) Alexandria, Aug. 20. The orders calling back three regiments of the British troops to England, has been cancelled by the War Office. The troops, however, had already embarked, and now remain on bnard the transports, waiting further instructions.
