As will be B«en by Mr Larcoiiili's; letter which appnared last evening; the affair turns out to bo an entire inisunderstanding, and so far from there being a difference- of 55 per., cent >jn prices, it tiirns out that m this paticular item of statipri-, cry the Clerk found that the prices at * both stationers were as nearly alike as possible. Ourlocal contemporary when reporting the Borough Council meeting f made a greatliubbub about this affair, simply .'because' Messrs Welch and Co,' do not advertise with him. Tl>e insertion of Cr' Larcomb's lrtter explaining the matter was tiso refused on the same grounds, and because he krfew perfectly well the public would then see the manner m which he .had endeavoured to misrepresent Messrs Welch and Co. No doubt a terrible and crushing reply will appear to-night m the ."..
