SANDER AND SONS' EUCALYPTI EXTRACT (Clinical Record, 1880).— The mcd. profession uses m gonorrhoea, as an injection, an emulsion of one ounce Euc, Extract, one ounce gum Arabic, and or 40 ounces of water, applied four times dnily. In Croup "Baxter's Lung Proserver,"opcrates magically, its expectorant and other properties affording speedy relief There is probably no art or industry which requires—for the production of (good work— greater care and attention to details than does the nrt of photography. The public are little aware of the numerous appliances and processes used m a firstclass photographic establishment. A visit to Mr Martin's studio at Wangauui will prove this to be so, for it is here we find numerous rooms, each having its own departmental work and a staff of assistants to carry on that work. We also find electricity is employed m producing the beautiful stippled effect for which Mr Martin's work is so mnch admired. But the most interesting and, we muft say. to our mind, the most complicated process is that of enamelling ; tho marvellous beauty imparted to the photograph by this process is'truly astonishing. And wo nre nssurred by Mr Martin that tho enamelling not only prodnecs this beautiful appearance, hut renders the picture perminent by means of its nir-tk'ht tind damp-proof coating.
