THE OLD COUNCILLORS.
(TO THE EDITOR OP THE STAND MtD.) Sir,—^l am very pleased . to see there is a chance of the old tried 1 men coming back to help us m our troubles. : The ratepayers can now see what a mess the clique has got us into. I hope, Sir, that a requisition will be signed and I hope it will not be denied. Let us have an end to dissension, and unseemly opposition, and see if our Council, will be united as of yore.— lam, &c. Union is Strength.
