The meetinsr then seperated.

Splendid specimens of the quartz reef, now being prospected m the Pohaugina, were shown us ta-day by Messrs Anderson ami Haultain, two of the promoters of the scheme m that district. A meet ing was held this afternoon to consider the preliminary steps necessary to bi> taken to have a good crushing made and other mutters m connection with the scheme, and we sincerely hope the affair will prove successful. Four of the ministers who will assist at the Church mission, which was opened to-day, arrived by the mid-day train, and were received by the Rev. Mr Copinger.
