(PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Westport, Tuesday. The Buller bar has not been so fivorable for shipping as at present for many years. If it continues as it is during the summer, and there is every prospect of it doing so, a great increase m coal shipped irom Westport maybe expected. The Westport Coal Company are steadily increasing their output. They shipped 2328 tons 5 cwt. of coal during last week. Oamabu, Tuesday. John Moriariy, a member of a rifle company, was fined 5s and costs 28s, today, uniler the Volunteer regulations for absenting himself from parade without leave on the 3rd July. Wellington, Tuesday. The following tenders were received for snagging punts for the Wanganni River : — Accepted — G. Caiman, Wanganui, £180 ; declined— Wall and Sharpe, Wanganui, £131 ; Law and Clansey, Wan gauui, £198.
