ENGLISH AND' RUSSIAN GROWTH.
During the last 130 years Russia and England have enlarged their possessions aB ' follows : — English annexations, 2,050,000 square miles; population, 250,000. Russian annexations, 1,642,000 square miles; population, 17,135,000,. which shows that England's annexations, exceed those ot Russia by 1,008,900 square miles and 232,865,000 m population.
