School Committee.
LAST NIGHT.
Present — Messrs Leary (Chairman) Walton, Hosking, Wright, Woodroofe, ' and Stewart. . The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. Mr- Leary read the correspondence with the Board, ro the appointment of a master for Terrace End. Mr Leary stated he iiad received from the Board five names of applicants, with testimonials for this post viz: G. Grant (Wanrcngute), E. 2; D. H. Guthcie (Halcombe) B. 1 ; T. A. Flood (Karere) E. 2; C. M. Lee (Otaki) E 2 ; •T. Guylee (Mttkinb Road) I>. 3. The testimonials having been read, a good deal of discussion took place as to the most suitable man to be recom mended. . -. Ultimately Mr' Wright proposed, and Mr Stewart seconded— -ThsA the committee renommend Mr D. H. G-utiirie. for the, headmastership of- Terraco End School. , ' An amendment was proposed by : Mr Walton, seconded by Mr Hosking as follows :— That this committee recommend Mr TV A.
