Potatoes continue to be unsatisfactory to quote, the prices demanded at shipping ports not giving a sufiicient margin they are selling here at £2 15s to i' 3 10s, according to safnrjle; • some of the Southern potatoes being very bad. Feed oats are offering freely at 2s to 2s 4d ; feed wheat, 2s 6d to 3s ; oaten hay chaff, £4 to Jto ; wheat straw about M to £'i 6a ; oatmeal, 4'll 15s to £12 ; onions are wtjrth about £9 to £10 per ton. Fresh butter is. scarce, and bringing Is 3d to Is 6.1 ; salt do is m rather better demand, and for really prime 9h\ to.IOM can be obtained jj inferior quite unsaleable ; eggs, Is 4d per. dbz j'cheesej 4idte s^d ; hams and bacon, 9d to lOd per fb. Poultry is m fair de-! mand — -.Fowls,' 3s 6d to 3s 9d per pair : ducks, 3s 9d to 4s do ; geese, 2« 6d to 3s: .each ; turkeys, -5s to to 6s- each. At the horsesale on Saturday, all lota were sold but three- he"avy 'draughts, which did not quite realise owners' value. The highest price realised for draught horses being about £34;
