SANDEK AND SONS' EUO. EXTR. (St. Loui-, Ded. Journal,- i881).-M3ancer on the Tongue.— Evi- T dence of scrofulous diailiesls. .Prescribed four drops to be taken "three times daily ; also, tongue' wetted three times doily, cured m four weeks.' ' ' ■ There is probably no art or industry which re- 1 quires— lor the production of good, work— greater • care and attention' to details than does the art- of ■ photography. The public 'are' little aware ; of the numerous appliances and processes used m a firstclass photographic establishment. A visit to Mr 1 Martin's studio at Wauganui will prove this to be so, for- it is here, -\ve find numerous, rooms, 'each havirig its own 'departmental work and; a staff of, assistants tof carrj^on, that, work, "We also! find electricity is employed m producing.' the beautiful . •tippled effectfor" which Mr Martini work is so much admired. .But the xno3t interesting and, we most' say, to our mind, the r mo3t complicated process is that of enamelling; the. marrellou3 beauty, imparted, to the photograph by this process is truly astonishing. And we are assurred- by Mr Martin that the enamelling not. only, produces this beautiful appearance, but renders the picture permanent by means of its air-tight and damp-proof coating. A visit to Wanganui, if for nothing else than to be photographed at Mr .Martins, would be a highly satisfactory way of ' Spending a day.— [Adtt.] ■ Messrs Gebenvtood <k Son, Dentists, Wanganui, Registered under the, lmperial.
