L 'Ndox, July 9. Consols arc quoted at 98{}. The inarkefc rate of discount is j|- per cent., bank rate 2 pet" cent. New Zealand securities are unchanged. Colonial hreadstnfTa arc unchanged. The weekly returns ot the Bank of England show the total reserves m notes and bullion to be i' 17,100,000, a reduction of i' 300,000 during the weak. Wool. — The present series of colonial wool auctions will close to-morrow. The market to-day was sluggish. Since thei commencement' of "the series 256,000 bales have been sold ; 70,000 bales are' held over for the next salos. Greasy and scoured wool, realised £d to Id lower than last sales. Fine qualities crossbred generally were l^d lower ; lower qualities wore Id lower.
