Appointments Committee. — Parawanui;Mr Harlscke's appointment was confirmed. — Beaconsfield : Mr Clare was appointed as teacher, and Mr Nye ftppointed Upkeep the school open. — Awa- " huri : Mr 0. J.- Cook was appointed teacher.— • Foxton : Miss Lilian Cole wrote applying for a pupil toauhersliip. Resolved, that the application be considered whftii a vacancy occured. Miss Howan wrote resigning* her position as pupil teacher— accepted. Mr E. Hant to he transferred fo Foxton. — TerraceEnd : Resolved that a headmaster be advertised for, and that notice be sent to all certificated teachers 'to whom it would be promotian. . Juuior. Medical Certificate.— Miss Scofield wrote, enclosing a medical certificate, that she had been prevented from attending her duties;-— Received. \ Building Fundi— Mr Bate moved that as the. .building fund was utterly inadequate for' the 'purposes it was required, the Government be requested to increase the grant.-rMr Baker seconded the motion—Mr Bate thought if the elaborate system .of- education talked of was to be introduced, the Boards should have larger grants.- He noticed that m Hawke's Bay th«^ Board had got a large extra grant for buildings, and he was sure that m the Wanganui district they were entitled to it.— The motion was carried unanimously. . v Absences.— A number of absence reports from yarious teachers were received and were referred to the Executive Committee. : . / ';' ...■'...■•■ :'■ , .-...; <>■-■/.:'■
