The Tariff.
(UNITED PRESS ASSSOCiATiON.) Wellington, Tuesday. The Premiftr has written to the Chairman of the meeting *f members which wet yesterday to consider the proposed tariff, statiug that it is the intention of the Government to carefully and thoroughly scrutiniso the many suggestions before bringing down the Customs Duties Bill. At the meeting of members again this morning, a resolntion was passed placing on record tho disapproval of any increase m Customs Duty at the present time.
