- Sir Charles Dilke, while m "Dublin on a visit to' Earl Spencer,] refused to attend an official breakfast riven by the Lord Mayor O'Connor, on account of that official's insults to the Prince of Wales. A despatch of June 7th says that Tunis is m a ferment over, local difficult, ties between the French and Italians.' One of the latter slapped .the- face of % I Lieutenant ot Chasseurs as he was coming out of the Theatre' Italieh', and waa arrested and • condemned to six days' imprisonment. The French General thought the punishment inadequate, and^ i issued an order commanding all officers' ■ §n future, on the least provocation~from- , dews and Italians, to draw their sworda.
