Our Saturday Supplement contains the continuation of the. highly interesting tale, " His One Mistake." There is also a very readable story "The Two.Strangers "—a story of Marseilles. In the Farmers' Column are chapter* on " Brood Mares," and "Show-yard Judging." Science has an essay on " The Genesis of the Human Mind." Nature contains a description of " The Tile-fish," and " The Extravagant Hindu Legend." Ladies' Column has an extract from the Ghn&tinn Observer entitled "The Mother- and' her Children," also some very useful recipes. Under the heading of Miscellaneous are "Wood Wool," "The flight of the Red Horse " — a Dakotah Legend, m verse; extracted from The Century, "The Earth — a great magnet," and "Aeration of Water." Humor lias the opening chapters of a very amusing sketch entitled "The Adventures oE Hacklebnny Finn," by Mark Twain. From beginning to end the Supplement is replete with an excel • lent assortment of reading matter which cannot fail to interest, amuse, or instruct all who peruse it.
