At the Magistrate's Court this rnorninss WiUiam Mohr and Alexander Frederick Douglas were committed to trial on a charge of assaulting an old man named Tregesson, on the Madrasstreet Eailway Bridge at midnight on Saturday, , and robbing him of a parcel containing a suit of clothes. Pharoah Douglas who was accused of being concerned m the affair, was discharged. New Plymouth, Wednesday. Bob Erangi, a well-known chief on the West Coast, died on Saturday last, aged 63 years. He was always friendly to Europeans, and during the war acted as guide to the troops. He was also a native assessor. When a young man he went »>ith Mr W.
