The Colonial Treasurer, m his Financial Statement, compared New Zealand with other colonial loan's m the following remarks • — Hon. members are aware that within a few days of each other three loans besides our v own were placed m- the market, namely, those of Victoria, Queensland, and •South" Australia. ■Ts. is impossible to tell the exact rate yielded, by a loan from the selling .•pricey because there -is always' ini eluded more or less of allowanced in* tl>e shape of advantages of accrued interest and discount.
